Clenbuterol hydrochloride is used in many parts of the world for the treatment of chronic asthmatic disorders. It is a beta-2 agonist, with properties that are somewhat similar to adrenaline. It acts on beta 2 receptors and is a CNS irritant.
Bodybuilders discovered Clenbuterol Hydrochloride because of its thermogenesis, its mild anabolic properties (minor increase in potency) and its anti-catabolic properties. Users will put their dosage together depending on desired results, but anywhere between 2-8 tablets per day is the most common. For body fat loss, it seems to stay effective for 3-6 weeks. During this period many users observe a slightly elevated body temperature. Furthermore, while taking Clen, the calories should be better utilized, so that less is converted into body fat. That’s why Clen is already something of a necessity for competition preparation. As I said, the thermogenesis after about 3-6 weeks after and at this point you should insert a break of at least two weeks. Increasing the dosage would bring no benefit.
To gain strength, clenbuterol appears to be effective for a shorter period of about 3-4 weeks. However, the anabolic effect is low, because unlike livestock Clenbuterol is administered to build mass in humans, the responsible beta 3 receptors are hardly or not even available.
The real reason for many bodybuilders to take Clen is the anticatabolic effect, i. It reduces protein synthesis from the muscle, thus maintaining and ultimately enlarging the muscle cells. This anticatabolic effect is also very effective after a steroid intake to counteract the catabolic phase, which is caused by a cortisone excess and reduced endogenous testosterone production.
