T4 L-Thyroxin by Berlin-Chemie
T4 or L-Thyroxine is a synthetic thyroid hormone, and it is used to help make up the lack of naturally produced thyroxine in the body. T3 is often used due the fact that it is a stronger tyrosine-based hormone gram for gram. Because of this, T4 or L-Thyroxine is known to be as a much safer and milder version of the T3 in the bodybuilding world. T4 or L-Thyroxin (sometimes just Thryoxine) is the name commonly known for the compound Levothyroxine sodium. It is considered to be a cutting steroid to be used for those who wants to drop body fat levels.
T4 or L-Thyroxine is considered to be an extremely powerful and potent “fat burner” due to the fact that it boosts the metabolism of users greatly. Some bodybuilders who use T4 allow themselves to eat extra since calories will be burned like crazy while on it. Compared to T3, it is considered to be milder as the activity is about 4 times less harsh, and the hormonal levels are much more stable compared to when on T3. It is considerably cheaper as well. Besides using T4 or L-Thyroxine in a cutting cycle, it is also used widely by bodybuilders on a pre-contest cycle as well.
Benefits of T4 (L-Thyroxin)
In a nutshell, among the positive advantages of T4 (L-Thyroxine) are the likes of:-
- Lower side effects compared to T3
- Significantly cheaper compared to T3
- Not as harsh at T3, with moderate results
- Improved stamina
- An extremely powerful and potent fat burner, especially when stacked with clenbuterol
The Side Effects of T4 (L-Thyroxin)
The side effects of T4 or L-Thyroxine is considered to be quite low as it is pretty well tolerated. However, if taken above the recommended dosage it could lead to various problems. If there are side effects, it is most probably because the levels of thyroid hormones had been raised way above normal levels, and this could lead to toxic and even hyperthyroidism. Among some of the side effects related to thyroid hormones toxicity are the likes of fever, weight loss, vomiting, diarrhoea, insomnia, headache, nervousness, heat intolerance, excessive sweating, increase pulse rate of heart rate, and chest pain.
Recommended Dosage of T4 (L-Thyroxin)
Since T4 is considered to be a milder synthetic thyroid hormone, bodybuilders who wishes to benefit from it needs to take it in much high doses to be just as effective as T3. Roughly, many bodybuilders have reported that a dosage of 300 mcg per day could yield results just as effective as 25 mcg to 100 mcg per day of T3.
Side effects :
Levothyroxine (T4), tremors, restlessness, dizziness, sweating, weight gain, hair loss, diarrhea, insomnia, nausea, increased heart rate, anxiety, weight loss, down-regulation of one’s own thyroid function (especially with prolonged use)
Overdosage: cardiac failure, coma. The side effects of overdose usually appear after 6-11 hours after dosing.
Application / dosage:
This causes the body gets the chance to get used to the declining hormone levels and thyroid can to the declining exogenous supply of thyroid hormone levothyroxine (T4) and respond in-house production ramp up slowly.
In bodybuilding athletes speak of doses ranging from 200-400 mcg / day if levothyroxine is used for diet support.
The dosage usually starts at 100 mcg / day, is all 1 – 2 days increased by 25 or 50 mcg / day until the maximum ingestion dose is reached.
At the end of the treatment, the dose will be slowly lowered. All 2 – 3 days , the dosage down to 25 or 50mcg/Tag ( up to zero).
The dosage is turned on and then tapered , it is important to slowly get used to the thyroid to the quantities supplied externally.
The duration of treatment of levothyroxine usually takes 4 – 6, maximum 8 weeks.
When taking pills , make sure that 2 hours before and 2 hours after taking any calcium rich foods (eg dairy products) are supplied.
If the side effects are too strong , there is only a reduction of the dose, up to the cessation of treatment . Also in this case, the dosage should be reduced slowly ( then tapered to be ), because there may be other side effects otherwise.
